Plan of the Month - 2250

The 2250 plan is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath plan that is spacious, with plenty of room for any family. The kitchen, dining, and family rooms are distinct spaces, but flow into one another in a way that is perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is a cook's dream with well defined work areas and double islands. The generous layout is perfect for column refrigerators and freezers to maximize food storage. You can easily create one larger island and open the kitchen more to the family room if you prefer. The eat in nook area provides space for casual dining, or can be converted to additional kitchen space or transformed into a large walk in pantry. Expanding the laundry room into this space allows for access to the master closet from the laundry as well. The recessed niche by the garage entry is the perfect spot for a cabinet to catch mail and keys, or for a bench with hooks for jackets and shoes.



The 2250 is big on storage. Three linen closets provide plenty of room for jackets, board games, and towels. The master bath has room for a freestanding tub, and has his and hers closets that can also be combined into one large closet. Removing the master tub gives the space for a luxurious walk in spa shower. Adding a bay window to the rear of the master bedroom creates a sitting area with lots of light. The addition of a closet off the back of bedroom 4 allows for the walk in closet to be converted to either a powder or a pool bath. For families that prefer a double vanity in the hall bath, a simple change to the bath door and an adjustment to the bedroom closet is all that is needed. The study at the front of the home provides office space that would normally take up a bedroom, making this plan very versatile.



The split bedroom arrangement of the 2250 is perfect for young families, creating a retreat in the quiet master bedroom. A corner or central fireplace is a wonderful addition to the family room, and the rear porch can easily be expanded to create an even larger outdoor entertaining space. The exterior elevation has plenty of areas to create your own unique look. Adding shake accents or board and batten in the gables adds additional interest, and the columns can have stone or brick accents. No matter what your style or needs, the 2250 plan can be modified to meet them!
